Textarea Cache text - and life - saving Firefox add-on now supports Firefox 4

Textarea Cache is a longtime Download Squad favorite. In fact, it has been featured in our 2009 Firefox add-on pack, and I've been using it for ages.
It's a very simple add-on that constantly saves the contents of whatever text area you're writing in. Then, if (or rather when) Firefox crashes, you still have your text. If you only compose Gmail messages, it may not be very handy (because Gmail periodically auto-saves the message as a draft). But if you compose any other sort of text in the browser, like forum messages, Wikipedia entries, blog posts, or anything else, Textarea Cache can really save the day.
Of course, all of this caching also has a flip side; it means that the contents of many text areas are available to anyone who has physical access to your browser, long after you've forgotten about anything you may have written. The add-on does not save usernames and passwords (since these are technically entered into "input fields" rather than "text areas"), but still - it's something you should know if anyone else has access to your computer.

If Textarea Cache is right for you, you'll be happy to know that it has been updated for Firefox 4 and is now compatible all the way up to Firefox 4.0b8pre.
